Magnesium Sulphate

In agriculture, Magnesium Sulfate is used to increase magnesium or sulfur content in soil. It is most commonly applied to potted plants, or to magnesium-hungry crops, such as potatoes, roses, tomatoes, lemon trees, carrots, and peppers. The advantage of magnesium sulfate over other magnesium soil amendments (such as dolomitic lime) is its high solubility, which also allows the option of foliar feeding. Solutions of magnesium sulfate are also nearly neutral, compared with alkaline salts of magnesium as found in limestone; therefore, the use of magnesium sulfate as a magnesium source for soil does not significantly change the soil pH.

Magnesium sulfate is easily soluble in water. It is unstable in the air.Magnesium sulfate has a variety of contents and classifications, which can be divided into industrial grade and agricultural grade according to its use; According to the state, it can be divided into magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, magnesium sulfate, anhydrous magnesium sulfate, etc;  magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is easy to dehydrate in the air, and anhydrous magnesium sulfate is easy to absorb water.

Application

1.Used as a fertilizer in agriculture, magnesium is one of the major components of chlorophyll.
2.Often used in potted plants or magnesium deficiency of crops, such as tomatoes, potatoes, rose and so on, the advantage is higher solubility than others.
3.Animal husbandry: magnesium fertilizer, used for pasture can also adding suitable amount of magnesium sulfate in the feed and drinking water, can satisfy the need of cow leather fat growth, and greatly improve the quality and quantity of cow milk.
4.Industrial used for ABS and PVC resin synthetic addition agent, paper making, printing and dyeing, monosodium glutamate, yeast fermentation and mineral water additive, etc.
5.Medicine: have effect such as catharsis, diminishing inflammation, detumescence, detoxification, pain suppression, inhibit central nervous, anticonvulsion, etc.
